Évidemment, quel plaisir de voir Bergman en tête, "mon idole à jamais" (je ne réussis pas à me défaire de cette mentalité de groupie; j'aime).
Plus de Renoir, de Kurosawa, de Bresson et de Resnais, ça c'est dans mes cordes.
Somme toute, un classement qui me plaît énormément si on oublie le classement trop élevé de John Ford.

Mon 1001ème film :
DiCillo, Tom. Living in Oblivion. 1995. 0 point. Totalement absent de toutes les listes. Probablement le meilleur film traitant d'un tournage cinématographique avec La nuit américaine de Truffaut, mon 1002ème, lui aussi absent de ce palmarès. Ceci démontrant une fois pour toutes mon impartialité dans la rédaction de ce palmarès.

Rappel de la méthodologie employée pour cette première édition

La deuxième édition sera publiée en août 2009.
Plusieurs listes pertinentes (déjà, quelques-unes en réserve) seront ajoutées, ce qui permettra de raffiner cette liste et d'en faire disparaître, j'espère, quelques horreurs et d'en bonifier le classement. Nous verrons bien.

Alors, pour les aficionados (quel beau mot en lieu et place de maniaque) comme moi qui veulent s'engager à visionner tous les films d'une liste, je vous suggère de commencer par le haut de la liste dont les films ont peu de chance de disparaître dans la deuxième édition, ce qui n'est certainement pas le cas pour ceux classés dans le bas de la liste.
Combien j'ai vu de films de ce palmarès : 727 .
J'ai vu entre 70% et 95% des films des 9 listes qui constituent ce palmarès des meilleurs films du vingtième siècle.
